It goes without saying that here at News360, we’re passionate about the news – and we’d be lying if we said that we’re not even more excited when the news turns out to be about us. This week, it just so happens that there’s quite a bit of good news to share.
For starters, our CEO, Roman Karachinsky, met up with TechCrunch’s resident media expert Anthony Ha to demo our new Android app and talk about what’s next on the horizon for News360. You can check out their whole conversation on TechCrunch TV here.
Meanwhile, we’re psyched to head over to Austin this week for SXSW, where we’ll find out if we’re selected for an Appy Award in the news category. We’ve been selected as a finalist and are up against worthy competitors such as the New York Times and The Week, so even receiving the nomination is a huge honor (as Oscar nominees love to say). Check out all our fellow Appy finalists here.
Beyond the tech scenes brewing in Silicon Valley and Austin, we were recently honored by the United Nations-based World Mobile Summit Award (WSA) and won the top award in our category. A group of international judges evaluated submissions from the world’s top mobile content developers representing nearly 100 UN member states and chose 40 entries from a pool of more than 420 products. This is a huge honor that truly reflects our mission: to deliver quality, relevant news articles to everyone with a smartphone.
With all the momentum we’ve been building, we’re excited for what’s around the corner – and guarantee it’s going to make your life just a little bit easier. Stay tuned!
